Many times people looking for an “appraisal” are actually just seeking a “evaluation” to help them determine if they should sell an item or not. Many of our dealers are experts in their fields and can provide verbal evaluations of your items – and possibly an offer to purchase them. For those in need of an actual written appraisal, we do have several dealers who are certified by the Appraisers Guild of America.
Our appraisers have extensive experience appraising, writing, and speaking about antiques and collectables.
As reputable certified appraisers, they are able to provide written legal documents, for probate, divorce, and estate settlement -and can serve as expert witnesses in court if needed. As this is much more involved, there is a cost for this service.
